By MzAbstractMind: This is a wonderful book to have in your child’s collection. It’s a great book to get you and your child to converse about different cultures and customs, in a way that they can understand. Your child will begin to read this book and ask questions to learn more, which gives you and your child or children the opportunity to go to the library to learn AND spend time together! The illustrations are PHENOMENAL!! The colors pop out of the book, the characters look so life like. You can tell a lot of work went into making this book. I’m looking forward to seeing what this author has in store.

By Shantae Rivers: I was privileged to be told about this book and be able to read it. First, the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. Whoever the illustrator is, he is extremely talented. Shoot, I wish he would illustrate something of mine! Then, there’s the story line. It starts off with Roy G. Biv starting his day, washing, eating, etc, before introducing us to the Dine’ or Navajo Indians in such a cute way. Introducing it in the form of a puppet show was such a cute idea and it seemed to flow so well. Then, he goes to sleep and wakes up to learn more about the Navajo Indians. It is such a brilliant idea. I like the way the book flows with teaching the colors of the rainbow and does it in such a way that once a child is done reading it they will remember Roy G. Biv. The fact that this author chose to create it into a character, as oppossed to the poem that we are probably all use to hearing is even better. I really like this book and will be giving it as Christmas gifts. It’s engaging, educational, creative, rhymes well and just has a great overall flow to it. Well written!
